2. No Therapist-Client Relationship

Using this website, submitting forms, emailing, texting, or scheduling a consultation does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

A therapeutic relationship is only established after:

  • Appropriate intake procedures are completed,
  • Informed consent documents are signed, and
  • The Practice formally agrees to provide treatment.

We reserve the right to decline services when clinically or legally appropriate.

If you become a client, certain information may be protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”).

Electronic communications may carry some level of security risk despite reasonable safeguards.

5. Florida Mental Health Disclosure

Under Florida law, communications between a licensed mental health provider and client are generally confidential, with certain legal exceptions, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation
  • Threats of serious harm to self or others
  • Court orders or other legal requirements
  • Situations otherwise permitted or required by law

9. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We respectfully request at least 48-hour notice for cancellations or appointment changes.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee of $75 except where prohibited by law or waived at the Practice’s discretion.

Insurance companies generally do not reimburse for missed appointment fees.

Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in referral out or termination of services.

10. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers for services including:

  • Telehealth
  • Scheduling
  • Billing
  • Payment processing
  • Electronic health records
  • Website analytics

While we make reasonable efforts to work with reputable vendors, we are not responsible for third-party websites, platforms, or services.
