About Maddy

My name is Maddy, and I am so glad you are here! I was raised in rural Montana and recently traded in my snow skis for water skis to make the move to Florida. Although I love the sunshine, I return to my western roots often to reconnect with my family and the quiet, grounding landscapes that remind me to slow down. Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me outdoors, at the gym, on the water, or spending time with my fiancé and our three cats (Mama Mia, Dancing Queen, and Trix). I love live music, the beach, and getting lost in a good novel.

My passion for counseling is deeply personal. Through my own experiences with therapy, I've come to appreciate the courage it takes to ask for help and the healing that can happen when we feel truly seen and understood. It is an absolute privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

Approach

I see therapy as a road trip we are taking together. You are in the driver's seat because no one knows your life, values, or goals better than you. My role isn't to take the wheel, it's to be a trusted travel companion. I'll help read the map, notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, navigate unexpected detours, and adapt our route when life changes. As your travel companion, I bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, tools, and support while remaining flexible to meet your unique needs. Sometimes we'll take the scenic route, exploring experiences, relationships, culture, and systems that have shaped your journey. Other times, we'll focus on practical skills to help you navigate life with greater confidence.

If you're coming to therapy as a couple or family, my approach remains much the same. I don't view one person as right or wrong; I see the interactional cycles between you as the place where healing begins. Together, we'll uncover the patterns that leave you feeling stuck, hurt, misunderstood, or disconnected, while exploring the emotions and needs beneath them. Then we will work to reshape these cycles into new patterns that foster trust, emotional safety, secure connection, and lasting resilience in your relationships.

My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel safe enough to embrace your authenticity while discovering the strengths you already possess. None of us are broken or need fixing; we need spaces to feel seen, understood, and supported. I will bring experience, guidance, and tools while trusting that you know your own story best. As we navigate this journey, my hope is that you feel empowered to move toward a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with what matters most to you.
