About Kay

Hi, I'm Kay! I'm currently completing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I'm passionate about creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves.

Before beginning my counseling journey, I spent many years living abroad and had the opportunity to travel extensively. Those experiences broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for different cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences. They continue to influence the way I connect with others and remind me that every person's story deserves to be heard with curiosity and respect.

As a counseling intern, I work under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional and am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while continuing to grow as a clinician. It is truly an honor to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward healing, resilience, and lasting change.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and Marketing

  • Currently completing Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.

Approach

I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you're sharing parts of your life that you've carried on your own for a long time. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. I believe healing begins through genuine connection, and I strive to build that connection with every client through empathy, authenticity, and compassion.

I'm especially interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I work to understand each person's unique story, strengths, and goals while supporting them in a way that feels meaningful and collaborative.
